Summary

According to this article, there will be era of 1 million jobless soon in Korea. People suffering from job insecurity could reach 10 million including virtual jobless and non-regular workers. Also, this situation and Korea’s economy will continually go bad. Just to extend the mandatory period into lasting is not a good way, according to Japan, because Japanese already know it will be able to make industrial competitiveness and the jobless rate will pulled down and, they don't try like that. In addition, it is also not a good way that government's encouragement to cut starting salaries for new entrants because it could be just passing the buck to younger generations. To redesign the nation's economic and social system by shifting emphasis from manufacturing and exports to service and domestic demand-based industries, such as in education, medical and welfare areas can be a good choice. However, Korea will be hard getting out of the employment crisis.

Reaction

Korean people are suffering about getting a job. Even though they graduated from a great university and studied a lot, it is still difficult because a lot of people are in similar situation and background. For instance, I also came to the USA to get a good job after finishing study, but many Koreans already studied like me and many people are better than me. That's why it is difficult to get a good job among the Korean who studied abroad. Nevertheless, though economic exigency has obliged the government to act, our government doesn't give us a good way. The government has gradually become from the people. On the contrary, they try to cut starting salaries for new entrants. Can it be a good choice? I think it can't be. There is no a way to get a job. Therefore, many Korean people, after finishing study of their university study more in graduate school or abroad. However, my friends who finished studying abroad have often told me that it is still hard to get a job, because interviewers and honor of company always want other skills, such as other language skills and other certificates of qualification, so they still failed to get a job. Our government should give us a certain way for them and at least to improve our economy.
